When you bring your pets and farm animals to Goldfields Veterinary Services, you can trust that he or she is in very capable hands. We offer the very best care for your beloved pets and farm animals. Our services include the following:
Preventive veterinary care is important to your pet’s and farm animal's overall health. During routine check-ups, we can complete a general wellness check, give your pets and farm animals the vaccinations he or she needs and check for signs of diseases. Our goal is to help make sure your pets and farm animals stay healthy and happy for as long as possible.
Taking preventive steps is one of the best ways to keep your four-legged companion happy and healthy. We provide all the vaccinations your pets and farm animals need to avoid common diseases, including parvovirus, distemper, kennel cough, hepatitis, enteritis, respiratory disease, leukaemia virus and immunodeficiency.
The first step to treating your pets and farm animals is figuring out exactly what’s wrong. We have many diagnostic tools necessary to detect different health issues. Using X-ray and ultrasound technology helps determine what’s wrong with your pet and or farm animal, and from there we can come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
Dental care is important for pets and farm animals, too. We can give your pet’s or farm animal's mouth a thorough examination and cleaning, checking for any signs of dental disease. We offer all the services necessary to keep your pets’ and farm animals' mouths, teeth and gums healthy, including prescription diets, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental treats and mouth rinses.
We use X-rays to diagnose a variety of conditions in order to recommend proper treatment. This diagnostic tool can be used to determine if your pet or farm animal has broken bones, spinal problems, cancer, kidney disease, dental problems, asthma, pneumonia and a number of other health issues.
Ultrasounds are used to get an inside look at your pet’s or farm animal's internal organs and blood vessels. This scan can be used to determine issues with your pet’s or farm animal's kidneys, liver, bowels, bladder, spleen, prostate, heart and uterus.
We anticipate providing this service in the near future but can refer for this service if required.
If you’d like your pet to be desexed, bring him or her to us for safe removal of their reproductive organs. For females this procedure is known as speying, and it involves removing the uterus and ovaries. For males it is known as castration and involves removing the testicles. During the procedure, your pet or farm animal will be under general anaesthetic.
We can test your pet’s blood, tissue or other bodily fluids and waste for disease or illness. Some (not many) are performed at your animal's annual health visit, while others are reserved for emergency situations. Our technology allows us to quickly diagnose the problem and provide prompt treatment.
More complex tests may require samples to be sent to an external laboratory.
