In addition to these services, we also provide a number of products to help you better care for your pets, including everything from medications to special food, pet washes, tick and worm treatments and much more.

Preventative Care

Preventive veterinary care is important to your pet’s and farm animal's overall health. During routine check-ups, we can complete a general wellness check, give your pets and farm animals the vaccinations he or she needs and check for signs of diseases. Our goal is to help make sure your pets and farm animals stay healthy and happy for as long as possible.

Vaccinations

Taking preventive steps is one of the best ways to keep your four-legged companion happy and healthy. We provide all the vaccinations your pets and farm animals need to avoid common diseases, including parvovirus, distemper, kennel cough, hepatitis, enteritis, respiratory disease, leukaemia virus and immunodeficiency.

Microchipping

Microchipping can be done at vaccination or desexing time. Gives your pets and farm animals lifetime identification and registered to aid in return to owner when lost.

Orthopaedic

If your pets have suffered a fracture or sprain, we offer the orthopaedic surgery to correct the problem. If you notice your pets and farm animals are having trouble walking or moving, bring your pets and farm animals in for an examination. If we determine surgery is necessary, we can discuss the risks and benefits with you.

For complex cases we may recommend a specialist.
Diagnostics

The first step to treating your pets and farm animals is figuring out exactly what’s wrong. We have many diagnostic tools necessary to detect different health issues. Using X-ray and ultrasound technology helps determine what’s wrong with your pet and or farm animal, and from there we can come up with an appropriate treatment plan.

Dentistry

Dental care is important for pets and farm animals, too. We can give your pet’s or farm animal's mouth a thorough examination and cleaning, checking for any signs of dental disease. We offer all the services necessary to keep your pets’ and farm animals' mouths, teeth and gums healthy, including prescription diets, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dental treats and mouth rinses.

Blood Tests

If you suspect something is wrong with your pet or farm animal, we recommend you bring him or her in for an examination and blood testing. Blood tests can be used to check the functionality of your animal's  immune system and internal organs as well as to check for specific diseases.

Surgical

We offer full surgical services for pets and farm animals, including desexing, caesareans, tumour and lump removals, exploratory surgery, wound stitches and more. When you bring your pets and farm animals in, we do everything we can to keep them calm, safe and comfortable during surgery and recovery.

Please allow about 15 minutes at admission time to give staff time to take your pets and farm animals in and confirm all of the details with you.
X-Ray

We use X-rays to diagnose a variety of conditions in order to recommend proper treatment. This diagnostic tool can be used to determine if your pet or farm animal has broken bones, spinal problems, cancer, kidney disease, dental problems, asthma, pneumonia and a number of other health issues.

Ultrasounds

Ultrasounds are used to get an inside look at your pet’s or farm animal's internal organs and blood vessels. This scan can be used to determine issues with your pet’s or farm animal's kidneys, liver, bowels, bladder, spleen, prostate, heart and uterus.

We anticipate providing this service in the near future but can refer for this service if required.

Before Surgery Care

We do everything we can to make sure your pets and farm animals are as calm and comfortable as they can be before surgery. Before surgery, a blood test is preferred to evaluate your pet’s or farm animal's health and prevent any surgical complications. After your pet or  farm animal is admitted, we’ll complete an exam and administer a sedative.

After Surgery Care

Immediately after the surgery, your pet or farm animal will be taken to a comfortable bed to recover. Then the veterinarian will discuss any aftercare information you need to know to help your pet or farm animal to make a full recovery as quickly as possible. We will go over any troubling signs to look out for and always encourage you to call if you are concerned about your animal after the procedure.
Desexing

If you’d like your pet to be desexed, bring him or her to us for safe removal of their reproductive organs. For females this procedure is known as speying, and it involves removing the uterus and ovaries. For males it is known as castration and involves removing the testicles. During the procedure, your pet or farm animal will be under general anaesthetic.

Pathology

We can test your pet’s blood, tissue or other bodily fluids and waste for disease or illness. Some (not many) are performed at your animal's annual health visit, while others are reserved for emergency situations. Our technology allows us to quickly diagnose the problem and provide prompt treatment.

More complex tests may require samples to be sent to an external laboratory.

Emergency Services

When an emergency strikes, you can count on our staff to do everything we can to help. If the emergency occurs outside of our normal business hours, we urge you to still phone our office. We can let you know what the best course of action is, whether that’s immediate first aid, waiting to bring your pet or farm animal into our office or needing veterinary attention urgently.
